Sandwiched between Sheridan Boulevard and Federal Boulevard, West Highland is a grid-like district of residential streets and buzzing urban boulevards. It’s located less than a 15-minute drive from downtown, making it the perfect place to set down roots for commuters or those who like to be close to the cultural assets found there. But there’s plenty to be found in the neighborhood itself—most residents only have to walk a few blocks to reach a local coffee shop, restaurant, or café.
 
West Highland boasts a few scenic spots for getting fresh air, including Pferdesteller Park, Mary Elitch Park, and Highland Park. The latter has sports fields, a playground, and picnic areas, not to mention a local library. Marvelous Sloan Lake Park and the cluster of restaurants and bars along its western edge are located just a stone’s throw to the south.
