Spend a Day in

Highlands & LoHi

Your Itinerary

This location offers one of Denver’s best patios. Its array of plants and bright umbrellas make it the perfect place to soak in a nice day. The menu features upscale brunchy items for a reasonable price. Their bruschetta boards come with your choice of four of their scrumptious offerings. Whether you want something with fig and apple or salmon and capers, this menu item will hit the spot. Paired with a nice glass of wine (especially during happy hour – $6/glass every day until 5 PM) or a cucumber lemonade, you’ll leave satiated without breaking the bank.

Go in for the ambiance, and stay for the wide assortment of delicious food. Avanti is the perfect place to spend time with friends who can never agree on where to eat. Take in the spectacular city views from the roof patio while you dig into your smorgasbord! If you’re looking for something a little different, head across the street to Happy Camper – an outdoorsy pizza place with a fresh spin.

A true Highlands icon, this ice cream shop is a must-see. Little Man sits boldly on 16th Street in a massive milk can. They frequently change up their flavors and are sure to have a double scoop of something you’ll need. There is a quaint and relaxed area where you can sit and enjoy your creamy dessert. For a little more serenity, walk to nearby Hirshorn Park to sit under a shady tree with your cone.

This joint calls to you from afar with its bright red sign and funky logo. Once we saw it, we spontaneously added Dave’s to our list and walked in to find some of the most delicious chicken of all time with a side of swanky atmosphere. Bold neon signs and artwork cover the walls, and good music comes through the speakers. They have many spice levels, so you can be matched with the crispy chicken that is right for you.
